The New Orleans Pelicans are a professional basketball team based in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a member of the NBA’s Western Conference. The team was founded in 2002 as the New Orleans Hornets and later rebranded as the Pelicans in 2013. The Pelicans have had several key players throughout their history, including Anthony Davis, who played for the team from 2012 to 2019 and was a six-time NBA All-Star. Other notable players include Zion Williamson, a rising star who was selected first overall in the 2019 NBA Draft, and Brandon Ingram, an All-Star forward who joined the team in 2019.
